SAMSARA

Samsara refers to the endless cycle of being born within a physical world (same Atman) and being entrapped from Brahman due to karma. The soul is reborn continuously (reincarnation) according to implications of action and reaction (karma). Karma is the ethical element in the process of samsara. (Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2014) The purpose of the physical rebirth is to escape the endless cycle (Moksha) of action and reaction and return to Brahman. Desire is the root cause of suffering. Detachment from action is a crucial component that is required in order to escape samsara.
